​Malaysian Hospice Council Congress 2016 

Malaysian Hospice Council (MHC), is organising a conference on Palliative care on April 22, 2016 at the Swan Convention Centre, Sunway (Selangor). We are the national voice for palliative care, and the umbrella body for 23 hospices in Malaysia. Our mission is to advocate for competent and compassionate care that will improve the quality of life of patients with life-limiting illnesses.

 

“Palliative Care is everyone’s business” is the theme of the conference.

 

The programme will include pre-conference workshops, a series of distinguished expert speaker session as well a free public forum.

 

This conference is designed to promote awareness about palliative care among all people in our community, notably the healthcare, patients and care-giver communities. A fair portion of the talks and topics to be discussed will cater for lay persons. We will be inviting distinguished guest speakers from local and overseas institutions. 

 

We expect an attendance of 500 delegates from -

• Healthcare professionals (*doctors, nurses)

• Healthcare support groups

• Patients, Care-givers
